Apple 官方於美國時間 25 號公布，Google 於美國時間 9月25日早上 9 點，將取代 Bing 成為 iOS 與 macOS 上的預設搜尋引擎，當中包括 Siri 以及 Spotlight 功能。

對於慣用 Google 搜尋的用戶來說，以後可以直接跳過瀏覽器，透過 Siri 或者 Spotlight 就可以快速搜尋自己想找的資訊，而且內容不會因搜尋引擎有分別而有差異。今次變更後 Bing 依然在 Siri 在留有一席，Siri 的資訊搜尋結果由 Google 提供，而圖片搜尋結果則會維持由 Bing 提供。Apple 表示這次將 Google 變成預設搜尋引擎，不但為了與 Safari 統一使用同款搜尋引擎，更致力於提供讓用戶最好的體驗，更表示不會因此而破壞與 Google 和 Microsoft 間的密切關係。
